How we make money
Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you buy through one, the retailer or manufacturer may pay us a commission. It costs you nothing extra, and the price you pay is the same as it would be otherwise.
Here is the part most sites leave out:
- Commission never affects what we recommend, or the order things appear in. Our rankings come from specification data and price history. Where a well-priced product pays us nothing, it still gets recommended, and we'll say that it pays us nothing.
- Commission rates differ between brands. That's a real conflict of interest and we're not going to pretend otherwise. Our defence against it is that the reasoning on every page is shown, with the underlying data, so you can check our work rather than trust us.
- We don't take payment for reviews, placements or rankings, and we don't publish sponsored posts.
If we ever change any of this, we'll change this page first.
